Tips to Speed Up Metabolism

Metabolism are all chemical processes that allow the body to convert the calories obtained through food into energy to maintain its vital functions.
Now, speeding up the metabolism means that it will work faster, burn more calories, so we will reach or stay at our ideal weight.
That’s why we have prepared these tips so that you can accelerate your metabolism and achieve your goals.
NUTRITIVE BREAKFAST
During the night we spend several hours on fasting and the body accumulates as much fat as possible. A nutritious breakfast when we wake up activates the metabolism correctly, the body begins to use the energy provided by breakfast and stop feeling the need to continue accumulating fat.
BALANCED FOOD EVERY 3 HOURS
A common mistake in dieting to lose weight is to starve. When our body realizes that we give it less calories begins to accumulate fat to increase its energy reserves. The ideal is to eat 6 times a day, as long as they are healthy foods, this will keep your metabolism active and therefore will not need to accumulate fat.
GREEN TEA
Studies reveal that, apart from its antioxidant properties, green tea helps to speed up metabolism as it facilitates the oxidation of fat and thermogenesis. The green tea recommendation to speed up metabolism are 5 cups a day.
EXERCISE
If you are new at exercise, 30 minutes a day of the activity you decide to do (walking, swimming, running, etc.) will be enough. If you already have the exercise habit, the next time you do it, add some 30 second intervals in which you increase the intensity and then return to the normal intensity. These slight changes will make your body consume more energy, considerably strengthens the cells’ ability to regenerate and helps them to have greater oxygenation.
EAT MORE PROTEINS
Our body takes longer to digest protein-rich foods than those rich in fat or carbohydrates. This results in a considerable acceleration of your metabolism and a reduction of hunger. In addition, eating protein allows you to gain muscle and the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn.
COMPLEX CARBOHYDRATES
Complex carbohydrates accelerate metabolism by stabilizing insulin levels. Always choose sources of medium- or low-glycemic carbohydrates such as brown rice, whole grain breads and pasta, quinoa, and sweet potatoes. Avoid sweets and desserts, these have a opposite effect on metabolism.
GOOD FATS
Although fats are always associated with weight gain, there are good fats that bring great benefits, such as omega 3, that not only accelerates metabolism, it also helps regulate blood sugar levels and has anti-inflammatory effect. Omega 3 fatty acids can be found in salmon, tuna and nuts, also supplements are a good choice.
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Consume fruits and vegetables daily, these have vitamins and minerals that although they do not make you lose weight, they’re necessary to obtain energy from the food, and some are essential for the energy metabolism. If you want to “burn” you should take care of the intake of B vitamins (B1, B3, B6, B12, folic acid) chromium and zinc.
LIGHT DINNER
At night your body is ready to rest, therefore it does not need much energy, a light dinner as a salad with some lean protein like chicken breast or salmon will be enough.
REST WELL
An adequate rest and maintaining low levels of stress helps speed up metabolism, try to sleep at least 8 hours a day.
Now that you know all this, speed up that metabolism!
